Time captions to your voice-over or spread typed text across the video, then style them.

In the video editor, tap the Captions tab. The switch beside the Captions heading turns captions on or off.

Make captions

  • Time captions to the voice-over: this button appears once the video has a voice-over. Studio listens to it and shows short lines that highlight each word as it is spoken. This uses one writing request.

  • Or type the text in the box that says "Or type the captions here" and tap Spread across the video to space it evenly over the video's length.

Style them

  • Pick a look: Bold, Clean or Boxed.

  • Pick where they sit: Top, Middle or Bottom.

  • Choose a font from the list, then set the Size, the Text colour and the Spoken word highlight colour. Your brand colours appear as quick picks.

Edit the lines

Under Lines, fix any word in any line. Tap Clear to start again.
